For award travels, if you search for US-TPE-PVG (multiple destination search), you get nothing. UA forces you to purchase two separate tickets. I call this China blocking by UA. I called 1K line to book it in a single reservation, but the agent could do it for me, either. UA cannot blame partners for this.
