Interestingly Air NZ are claiming there are 42 economy stretch seats but their seat map only shows 38 so I presume the exit row seats in this cabin are potentially going to include the pillow and headphones as well despite being $25 cheaper.




It was also interesting to see that when I looked at a dummy booking for next week that it shows the $175 up sell but while looking at options last night for a US trip in October that it has a $0 box next to these allowing me to select them for free. I can see zero reason why they'd give these away to Elite's (except maybe at T-48 if they were still free like exit row / preferred seats) so that's slightly puzzling.

It's also hilarious that they're pitching "early disembarkation" as a benefit..As though there is some way that the whole economy section behind these seats could get out first!
Confused, is this a new product or the seats that elites usually had preferentially?
