$175 gets you 35" seat pitch along with "premium" pillow and headphones. Interestingly Air NZ are claiming there are 42 economy stretch seats but their seat map only shows 38 so I presume the exit row seats in this cabin are potentially going to include the pillow and headphones as well despite being $25 cheaper.




It was also interesting to see that when I looked at a dummy booking for next week that it shows the $175 up sell but while looking at options last night for a US trip in October that it has a $0 box next to these allowing me to select them for free. I can see zero reason why they'd give these away to Elite's (except maybe at T-48 if they were still free like exit row / preferred seats) so that's slightly puzzling.

It's also hilarious that they're pitching "early disembarkation" as a benefit..As though there is some way that the whole economy section behind these seats could get out first!
