PQF/PQP on Aer Lingus with United Flight Number
I just returned from Ireland, where I enjoyed unseasonably warm weather and boarded my return flight at T-9 minutes after returning from DUB to my hotel to retrieve my passport from the nightstand.
On my way over, I flew on a United ticket, IAD-LHR-DUB. LHR to DUB was operated by Aer Lingus, but it was ticketed with a United flight number, UA 7636, and purchased directly through United.
I see that United has credited 70 redeemable miles for the LHR-DUB flight. But it looks like I have no PQP or PQF for the segment. My account also lists the flight with its Aer Lingus flight number, EI 151.
Is it correct that the flight doesn't earn PQP or PQF? I realize Aer Lingus is not a Star Alliance partner, but I would have thought that a UA flight number would earn Premier credit.
(Separately, my boarding pass showed the EI flight number. So, despite being 1K on United, I was rejected from both the LH lounge and, as I anticipated, the EI lounge at Heathrow. The United Club was too far a hike.)
