I'm hoping for some advice on a flight from PHX - TUL this weekend. I booked one way, cash for me & miles for Mr. Ostatekitty and applied RUC to both. I had to call to apply RUC to the miles ticket and we are waitlisted for FC on PHX - SLC leg. I have also requested an upgrade to 1st as a PM + Reserve card holder (along with 1 trillion others probably). Right now there are allegedly 4 FC and 2 C+ seats available. Would requesting C+ upgrade at all impact my FC request? I don't know how to explain this very well; my concern is the system will just be like "OK C+, sure" and go ahead and upgrade me despite also having requested 1st. Regardless of either request, I am 99.5% certain that we'll be sitting back by the lav when the plane takes off, but since I don't request upgrades very often I thought I would see what everyone thought.
