Just made PM under 2004
2004 MQM rules - slightly less than 101K MQM in 93 segments = PM
2005 MQM rules - slightly over 77K MQM = PM
Mix of LUT, HKQ, YBM, & A fares on DL, NW, & CO all for DL MQMs
I would have made FO sooner under the new rules - I had more LUT fares early in the year. But I would have made GM later. I still would make PM, but maybe only a couple of segments sooner.
Marginal difference. Still, it seems as though the short hop FF will have to work pretty hard to make PM status, even with the lower level, due to the reduction in the minimum from 750 to 500 miles AND the reduction in the multiplier for a number of fare classes (A, F, etc.) Though this may somewhat be made up for by the increase in LUT fares. Time will tell.
I just found FT in June and learned enough to figure out how to make this FF thing begin to work for me. Now it looks as though there will be some new things to learn.
