My weeks of spot-the-difference training help me discern that the main change is the Mandarin Oriental Style fan which replaced the kidney shaped dividers, the removal of all the hospital style white plastic in favour of brown and blue plastic, and a slightly more patterned fabric. Otherwise it's the same.
But it is right that the seats should be replaced/refurbed regularly - think how many people have farted a sly one into them on those night flights!!!
I remember the original! First time in NCW was SEA-LHR when we had the original, and I seem to remember the kidney shaped dividers had a tendency to rattle sometimes. I much prefer to the new colour scheme, however. Much less airline-ish and more club-ish.
Does anyone else feel slightly anti-social when pulling up the divider? Sometime I feel as though it says "I have no desire to look at
your ugly face for 10 hours." Although it is rather nice when seated next to those pax who seem to think an airplane is a chance to become "bestest" of friends.
