Crowne Plaza City Center Tel Aviv
What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond Ambassador
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a 1 King Bed Standard room on points, received Junior Suite with 2 single beds pushed together (on Valentine's day!).
After pointing ou tthat this wasn't suitable they went away for a few minutes and came back with a 1 King Bed 1 Bedroom Suite, which goes for about $1000
How are the rooms?
While the decor was not at all to my taste, the 70 sqM suite was huge and comfortable - larger than many Tel Aviv apartments.
The 2 bathrooms were well appointed and well laid out.
How is the exec. lounge?
Apart from poor alcohol quality and selection (cheap wine and local beer), there is good seating and decent view, with plenty of fruit, sweets and snacks.
Between 6-8pm they serve hot food such as salmon, ravioli, gnocchi, and more.
What was good and what was bad?
GOOD:
1) Very good breakfast
2) Executive lounge access with hot food (dairy only)
3) Very polite and good service for Israel
4) Amazing value reward nght
5) Free access to fitness club in the same building with indoor pool and jaccuzi
BAD:
1) The hotel shares a building with offices, and there was renovation work from 7.40am, which was bothersome. They tried to help us but it's not in the hotel's control
2) Intitially given 2 single beds, but was sorted out more than satisfactorily
3) Very limited and cheap alcohol selection in club lounge
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes. With Diamond free breakfast and annual lounge membership, plus upgrade to the top tier room, a 28k point reward night ($140 or 490 shekels), became a luxurious all inclusive night at a lovely hotel in the heart of Tel Aviv.
