In reality it's unlikely but as it's their base they could swap out the aircraft etc I was once enjoying a nice (well, nice for an airport!) steak at Gatwick awaiting a delayed Easyjet when there was an urgent boarding announcement way ahead of the revised departure. They had a crew that couldn't do their Malaga flight due to hours but could make Amsterdam and back. We left without quite a few people!
