yes, you are correct. I guess I just expected too much. I have stayed in several "sold out" Hyatts and yet they always had an upgrade for us - I assumed they hold back some rooms but I guess not in this market.
TBH, I expected the same, as I was upgraded to a resort / partial ocean view on the 5th/6th floors in the Poipu wing in each of our first 3 stays. I was just as surprised as you when I checked in this time. Fortunately, they were able to move me to a little better room.
