I recently took a car from SEA to YVR, received it at 5/8 fuel, returned it maybe at 4.5/8 fuel, was okay paying the difference but the person checking in the car said all is good only to find out I was charged US$125 for “fuel services” the day after. I’ve had to call to resolve fuel charges on two of my last 3 rentals. Quickly resolved, but a pain.

Good luck. I always keep pictures of the fuel gauge, rental agreement, and the detail pages in the app until I’m confident that the bill is correct.
