I have the same question. My flights are both with Cathay, arriving in early evening into HKG from YVR but then departing the following day in the last afternoon to TPE. I would like to short check my luggage so that I have access to them for the overnight stay. Is this possible? Does an overnight make a difference versus a same day layover?
