I know Southwest doesn’t have an official policy regarding the transfer of RR points upon death, so I’m trying to plan if they can be used. From what I can tell, if someone has access to my account, they can:
- use miles to buy gift cards, or
- use my account to purchase flights

And this assumes, Southwest isn’t notified about my death. I don’t have a Southwest credit card and just have a random card associated with my account to make purchases. If that card ends up being notified upon my death, whoever has my account would just have to change the credit card on file to pay taxes and fees.

Does this sound like a workable solution? Or am I forgetting something?
