The new 75,000 for PM will be quite easy for me next year.

Everyone is complaining about the change from 2x to 1.5x for F, A etc but I don't see the problem. 25% less MQM's than this year but also 25% less total MQM's needed to make Platinum. Seems to me its a wash. Am I missing something ?

Now if they changed to 1.5x MQM's but kept the 100,000 MQM's needed for PM then that would be a devaluation.
Why do people keep insisting that it's just 25% less!?!? If you are going > 500 miles it is. But a lot of us fly Short hauls, and effectively instead of 3000 MQMs for A, F, we would get 1500!! (750*2*2 under the old system) (500*1.5*2). That is HUGE for me, because I flew ATL-JAX in A a decent bit. Now I get 50% less MQMs, it will be really hard to even earn the 75k plat this year.
