I am a 100K and have a benefit to receive a complimentary free meal. I ordered the Protein Platter ($10.50) and mentioned to the flight attendant that it was to be complimentary and to please not charge my credit card.
However, my credit card was charged. I called Mileage Plus; then was transferred to the Refunds desk; then the "In Flight" refunds desk where my refund request was effectively handled. This process took over an hour of my time.
My purpose in bringing this to your attention is to have you remedy this problem in the future. It is a waste of time for both the 100K traveler, and of course the Alaska Airlines Refund Employees.
