Given we can now book QR using avios on BA.com (for reduced avios pricing, appreciate we’ve been able to book partner awards for some time), I have a query about policy if any subsequent cancellations / schedule changes occur. For clarity, I’m referring to changes
other than on the day of travel.
Specifically, I will ask about two types of route:
- O&D both covered by the QJB (eg HKT-DOH-LHR and v.v.)
- Route not included in QJB (eg LHR-DOH-BKK)
I understand from the standard customer guidelines that for #1 above (i.e. routes covered by QJB) that it’s usual -3/+14 days, same class or lowest class in same cabin.
But what about somewhere like BKK? I guess it’s covered as a Prime route, so requires same class as booking, but are there any special policies for places like BKK, given BA no longer flies there? I think there might be a special policy in play at present specifically for BKK?
