Since the wording on the CL website now uses “card” instead of Account and since they didn’t acknowledge any different accounting of spend, I think they won’t do that and people who count on this might be disappointed next year.
This past week I spoke to two different customer service reps and each assured and read to me the same T&C which clearly indicates that the minimum spend for guest access would be determined by the combined spend on all platinum cards - both times I asked for either a written confirmation or where on the Amex website that this is indeed the new policy and neither could provide that - both sent me links to the CL website which as indicated above, does not clearly spell out the new rules.
