We're looking to book a trip from Seattle to Hawaii and would like to book premium class seats. Unfortunately, on multiple flights we're considering the only row left is row 6 (1st row in premium class), the bulkhead row. The plane is the 737-900. I've heard some horror stories about this row, but before I entirely give up on the idea I'd love to hear from any of you who know for a fact:

1) Will we definitely have to store any carry ons or personal items in the overhead bins? Are there any curtains in front of these seats, allowing storage of personal items under the seat on the other side of the curtain?
2) I've heard multiple times that these seats are skinnier than other premium/coach seats, but I'm curious just how much less wide are they? 1"? 2"?
