- Waitlist doesn’t clear, and ANA releases my points and I have my UA-purchased award economy seat on the same flight
Will having another ticket in my name on the same flight, from a different partner, affect my waitlist?
And just to confirm: folks are SURE that waitlist is the same pool as close in (2 week) award releases? There have been a LOT of open close in J seats lately.
I can't answer your last question, but wrt your scenario, I don't see a problem with that. There are plenty of people who have the same name that could be on a flight. Just don't have the same FF number (which would be hard to do since you booked one with NH miles and one with UA miles) and it will just look like two different flyers.
