Avis would cost an extra $35/day for the same car (Avis & Hertz both provide at least the minimum required liability). From what I have seen on the HZ website, LDW is $45/day (not sure why it is priced in USD, but they obviously know their target). Unless Avis is offering LDW for less than $10/day, I do not see what the advantage would be??? Hertz Mexico is obviously a very shady company, but the reviews for Avis are not much better. I know there are a few more reputable local agencies in town, but they are not available at the airport, and half of the reason I am renting a car is to avoid the bus to/from PDC.
