Totally agree on all accounts camille55 ! I worry that I cancel, and then can never get it again once it gets good, which surely, it has to! Right, right??

Agree on double MRs too - would be such an easy win for them, and they have offered it on Platinum and Gold at various points for various spend categories. Just not us!

I keep hearing people who pretend to threaten to cancel Platinum, just to get a reduced fee/MR bonus... but I don't really like playing those games (though well done to those who do!), and I suspect it's not what AmEx would want on the Centurion. Anyone ever tried it and been offered a retention bonus for Centurion?
