The point is that it has to be available for the entire itinerary not just the leg you are looking at. If available for both legs the agent will see it and can book it. This has been the case for many years now.
I understand, but they don't even see it by itself when it's available on AA.com, and I've had previous cases where they claim they don't see it but a supervisor eventually does.
How do I verify if it's available for both legs?
