Asked the FA who took the meal order and it was not turned on. After ~30 minutes I asked the purser and it was turned on quickly. While still on the ground there was some interesting chatter about the SF Giants, one of the pilots asked if someone was calling them or if someone had a hot mic. There was a reply "welcome to the new world, lots of interference". I guess there was someone on the frequency illegally?
