I misused the term "class trip". It is not from her high school, it is from a private, after-hours, dance course that she attends (and loves). The teacher has provided very little information. She is waiting for more details from the nation-wide chain that owns the course. So far, she has said that she estimates that the cost will be 3,500 shekels (roughly $985) but is not certain if that includes the week-long hotel stay in Prague and/or meals or anything else.

I have told her parents that I will pay the first 3000 shekels if they can come up with the remainder (which the teacher says will be known and must be paid in April.) The trip will be centered around the New Prague Dance Festival https://www.praguedancefestival.cz/home_en.php from June 30 to July 7. Her class will be performing in it. Frankly, I am not happy about this as her city is far from a wealthy one and I suspect that many of the parents will not be able to afford it, which will be very disappointing to the students who can't go. In fact, I have very strong doubts that this girl's parents will have the needed money above the 3000 shekels I will pay.
