I called them when I got the card. They said they bill it at the end of a year. This seems to indicate that the first year is free. Apparently that's why everybody seems to cancel it after they get the bonus.

However, having said that: 15,000 miles for $75 is 1/2 cent/mile, which is even below Pudding Guy's threshold.

What you do is up to you.
