I am trying to use Amex points. I do have Chase (and Cap1) points but many more Amex ones.. I really want to try to get more than 1 cent value out of them. I can do 20k per room per night at a Blu but was hoping to do better. Also not exactly the location I wanted.
Honestly, the best answer I've found is to cash them out to Schwab at 1.1c per point and then pay for the hotel.
And I agree that I have a ton of these compared to UR (cashed out my Cap1) and these are just much harder to use economically, especially for hotels.
