There are indeed Caravans carrying cargo inter-island here. The incident diagram showed the typical exit off the runway toward the cargo ops area for that use of a/c. The United plane was supposed to hold before that runway. There was pretty much zero chance of collision, but the taxi procedures are there to provide a really good safety buffer. The hold point was also at the end of a 3rd runway.
