Thanks for replying. Yes, I see J space on AA.com, while the supervisor doesn't even see J space for the segment by itself. There seems to be serious and systematic disconnect between what shows on AA.com and what agents see in their system.
WRT booking the segment by itself and call AA, what would be the point if they can't merge it with my existing booking (which I've been told consistently is the case)?
The point is that it has to be available for the entire itinerary not just the leg you are looking at. If available for both legs the agent will see it and can book it. This has been the case for many years now.
