United probably has some software thing that cancels reservations not ticketed within a specific period of time.
I suspect your only chance, to the extent there is one, is to get UA to reinstate the reservation. If you get it reinstated, I would then physically appear at a TK ticketing office, perhaps at ORD if there is one and that is near you. I'm not saying it would work, but it is probably your best chance.
