Been here now for about 24 hours. Beautiful property. Got upgraded from a standard room (120k points/night) to a 2 bed, 2 1/2 bath villa. Best upgrade I’ve ever had.
Climbed the rocks to Lovers & Divorce beaches. More challenging than I thought. Took a boat back to the marina rather than going back the same way we came … one way was enough.
Pools are nice. Plunge pool on the room terrace is a very nice perk although a temp control to make it hotter would be a plus. If they have hot tubs, I haven’t found them yet. Love the afternoon chips, guac & Coronitas.
Edit: Think I found a hot tub. Looking forward to checking it out later tonight.
The breakfast buffet was good & a good value with the diamond/gold credit. ($26.xx for 2 with included gratuity & tax. I added a $5 tip to that.) I believe they said without the credit it was $44/person plus tax & gratuity. For over $100 for two plus tip without any alcohol, I would have been less impressed & likely found a local alternative.

Do you mind providing a little more detail of the trail you went on to go over the rocks to Divorce / Lovers Beach?
I tried to find it, went 2x ; walked to the end of the beach past the Solmar resort each time until you hit the wall of rocks ; I knew it was possible from reading online and the distance is close but spent awhile staring up at the rocks and could not find anything resembling a trail.
Almost tried to go up one vertical section but worried if incorrect I could get myself in a position where coming back down would be hard (I had heavy camera gear and tripod with me at the time but an experienced hiker).
