Greetings -As a lowly platinum , I understand that upgrades are subject to availability at check-in. I also understand that Villas , specialty suites , one of a kind suites ,gold floor and presidential suites are not available for upgrade .
What I can’t understand is why I can never get any sort of upgrade .

Lately , I get welcome emails offering me room upgrades for a price but there are never any rooms available for complimentary upgrades . Of course I always check online when pulling into hotels and despite inventory for upgraded rooms for the length of my stay , I am always told no upgrades available . I have no problems getting my drink tickets . Platinum amenity is hit or miss . But upgrades are zero . Am I missing something?
