Can I vent for a second about how terrible my Saks experience has been?
I tried to order a small kitchen appliance. It was showing in-stock. Immediately the order went to backorder. After a few weeks of waiting, I chatted in. The rep insisted it would ship if I stayed patient. A few weeks after that, the order was canceled.
The item was still showing in-stock. I chatted in again. The chat agent was not allowed to re-create my order. Had to call in. The phone agent put the order thru again at the original price.
The next day the order was canceled.
The item is still showing in-stock.
Every interaction I've had to authenticate myself several times because their systems aren't connected very well. Every time the agents have no useful information.
If it weren't for this $50 from Amex, I would never shop there again.
How is this a luxury brand?
UPDATE: I called again. The agent insisted it was a glitch; the item had gone out of stock briefly again... she strongly encouraged me to order again. She couldn't put the order thru herself because of a problem on their end... but gave me another substantial discount if I was willing to try again. And this time, shockingly, somehow, it shipped... So now I got a great price and all I had to do with call repeatedly and wait months........
