An interesting tidbit from my flight yesterday. KLIA operates a 60 minute compliance to get through the initial boarding pass check prior to immigration. If you haven't scanned in 60 minutes prior to departure, then you need an airline staff member to walk you through.
not sure if this only applies to International flights, but on Domestic I managed to bag drop 50 minutes before departure (had to sign a "form" that only had the word LATE, but was easily lining up at MH Business Counter for 30 minutes before this) and rush myself to the gate without any escort.

when booking as OWS , Bulkhead and Emergency Exit seats are blocked from selection. HOWEVER if booking with an infant these seats are suddenly free to select. Yes, even the Emergency Exits which I have yet to select as I don't want to mess up a family vacation.

Speaking as OWSapphire / Enrich Gold, since 2021 haven't seen free seat selection when booking. But able to select seats (except for Bulkhead/Emg Exit seats) when Online Check In opens. Only been booking MH Basic when traveling individually.
