Is there a way where we can take a poll of people who did or didn't get upgraded to a standard suite per property when the room is CLEARLY bookable? Just got to the Grand Hyatt Bali and while I am overall very impressed and did get my room upgraded (from a standard twin because it was cheapest, to a deluxe twin club access) - I was told the suite wasn't bookable even though I went on the app 5 minutes before and after checkout and even screen recorded the process and it definitely DID look bookable. I didn't finish the process obviously, don't need two rooms. I didn't push the issue too much because I was tired, wowed by the welcome dance, gong and tea, and yea...
But why no suite upgrade? Property playing games? Could the website legitimately be wrong? Is it because he knew there was some free fruit and a note with my name on it already in the twin room? Did they think I couldn't manage a King since I had booked for twin beds and this is Indonesia? I had one 2022 suite upgrade left which I chose to burn on a night Ubud stay instead, as I booked this room only 15 hours in advance and noticed they still had suites available for my dates, and indeed they STILL do...
I'd love to do a globalist poll per property of who claims no suites when indeed there seem to be.
I do need to call them today to replace the broken shower head, maybe I use this as my opportunity to transfer?
