Check the credit card you used to book this flight - Does it have any sort of travel protection, travel interruption, travel cancellation? That may be a better use of your time. Hopefully you can provide an update whichever route you seek compensation.
That's a great idea. I'll check it out and repost once I hear anything. We were also wondering if the airspace was closed last night because of the shoot down of this object in the sky. I'm quite sure we will never have the real answer.
