I'm curious as well.
UA's site says that UC guests of a *G member must be on the same flight starting May 3rd 2021, but the wording isn't there for F guest access to the PL nor UC. I guess one could argue and point this out when trying to access.
However,
the Star Alliance site says the following:
"
You are entitled to bring one guest travelling on any Star Alliance flight departing from the same airport on the same day. As of May 3, 2021, the guest must be traveling on the same flight."
