Thank you both very much. I honestly do not recall which level of service I selected; sometimes (with both Lyft and Uber) I select the least expensive, sometimes I choose the shortest wait. Next time I use Uber I’ll select a qualifying level if nothing else as a qualifying test (trial) ride. Thanks again.
Few days ago intentionally and consciously selected Uber XL. Fortunately I was with 2 friends and we each had multiple bags (suitcase, skis, boot bag) and Lyft XL which was less expensive was taking MUCH too long so the XL was necessary and we didn’t feel as though we were paying more just to see if the points would post. (In consideration of my earning Marriott and CC points for the ride I paid a slightly higher percentage.)
The Marriott Bonvoy points had posted to my account when I checked about an hour after the ride. Thanks again for the pertinent replies.
