Caveat: I've only ever travelled the SFO-JFK route in J (and once in F, when I got an op-up. Not that it was much use, because it was the red-eye and I was asleep before taxi, let alone meal service. I woke up to find the bourbon I'd chosen to help me sleep still sitting there waiting for me, and obviously it would have been rude not to consume it at that point ...), so I've always had the option of eating a reasonable meal on the flight.

That notwithstanding, I did think the lounge food selection was perfectly adequate, albeit the selection of well drinks bordered between the barely drinkable and toilet cleaner. I'd strongly recommend not trying the red wine!

But as somewhere to sit for a short while, have a bite to eat and a drink of some description, I've never seen it anywhere near capacity and it's comfortable enough not to think about heading elsewhere first.
