It is interesting for non-frequent JP tourists, I suppose, as I do tend to expect a solitary dining establishment's kaiseki to be slightly different from most non-luxury ryokan kaiseki. The food budget, for one thing, but also the number of guests and serving cadence results in different dining experience for me and I wouldn't say I'm a fine dining aficionado (taste over formal atmosphere/serving style any day).
