One of the scrolling banners at the top of my dashboard tells me how many qpoints I need to earn in order to renew.

Also if you click on "use my calculator" further down, and select "earn qpoints and avios", towards the bottom it shows how many you need to earn and by what date in order to renew.

But I agree, it's not as obvious or well designed visually as the old dashboard.
