The one person I know personally effected, told me DL blamed KLM. According to him DL stated that KLM wasn't sending through some piece of info. They didn't say what specifically was wrong info. Thus why I assume it has to do with ticket date, as that effects earnings. (Of course, can also be DL just making things up)
That wouldn't make sense. My ticket was bought August 20, 2022, so after the new earnings took in place. The ticket has been reissued multiple times since then, and most recently in January.
