So am I SOL for my F seat?
The flight also booked through AS so will they refund the point differences?
They will refund the difference. If there were another JAL F flight from your origin you could ask AS to request JAL to put you on it, but there isn't.
If you can find an F award from another gateway you can book that, but odds are slim there is an F award for June available at this point.
What I might do is leave it as is for now and if within 14 days of travel JAL F opened up through a gateway that AS flies to from your origin you could probably get AS to open up award space on the AS connecting flight to get to the JAL gateway. For example, if SFO-HND opens an F seat AS should be able to force award space on the AS flight from ORD-SFO to connect to it (on your existing F award if you keep it). JAL is known for making last minute F awards available within 14 days of travel if seats are still available. It is not a guarantee, but it frequently happens.
