Question for Rimowa owners.
Say, when traversing through an airport such as LHR, how do you handle the liquids in the bag & removing of devices without a front pocket? During a recent transfer, I had forgotten the couple of Euro coins in my trouser pocket and of course set off their machine. My fault, but the old world full body exam delayed me for about 10 minutes, much to the chagrin for those behind me in the queue.
I really like the classic Cabin design, but the inability for quick access has really deterred me from picking one up.
I agree with Global Adventure, I also have a personal laptop bag for devices/passports/miscellaneous items.
Recently just going through LHR for the first time with a Rimowa Classic, I keep all of my liquids/gels in my toiletry bag, and had to open and re-open to place them back into the carry-one luggage. Definitely a hassle, but in reality, only took less than 1 minute.
To do it over again, I would just keep the liquids/gels in a separate bag, and kept it on my laptop bag instead for LHR related travel. That way, no need to open the luggage.
