There are a (very) few daytime flights between the US and LHR from New York (AA, BA, Virgin, United), Dulles (United) , Boston (BA) and Chicago (AA). Also, Air Canada has a daytime flight from Toronto.
Other destination in Europe besides London - you'll have to fly overnight. Also, these flights arrive at a time when there's very few connections anymore, so you'd have to spend the night in London and continue the next day.
Then there's this:
https://onemileatatime.com/news/air-saint-pierre/ - very convenient if you live around Newfoundland and want to go to Paris in the summer
You can try flying Turkish Airlines between the US and Europe via Istanbul. Those flights - even from the east coast - are so long that you do catch some sleep and arrive later in the day. I`ve heard from people with jetlag issues that they could cope better when doing this. Fares tend to be on the low side, too - and they offer a free(!) stopover program as well:
https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-i...ghts/stopover/ if you book a long connection
Or look into flying Icelandair with a connection in Iceland:
https://www.icelandair.com/flights/c...ions-schedule/ They even offer stopover packages (
https://www.icelandair.com/flights/stopover/) . This will also let you arrive at your destination rested and better adjusted to local time than the usual nonstop overnight, early morning arrival transatlantic flights. Bonus: Fares are lower than average.
If the limited route network will work for you and you 're able/willing to pay a bit more than for economy seats - have an eye out for fare sales at La Compagnie (
https://www.lacompagnie.com/en/about/special-deals/). That airline offers lie-flat seats for very competitive prices that are about half of what the big players charge.
Other than that, take the early flight and book a hotel that either offers early check-in or book the night before and tell them you'd be arriving at 7am. I`m pretty sure that if you'd have arranged things in advance with the hotel so you could check into your room at 7 am you'd have been spared the experience of your half-day zombie walk.
