Not sure I follow the cause of your "fuming".
You travel on a P fare and could select seats for a fee on 3 segments but not the first one. Apparently that plane is (near) fully booked and QR did not give you any other option than the aisle seat that you seem to hate. There simply are no seat that you like available for a fee.Nothing that you can do about it except, possibly, at the airport.
Then you seem surprised that the seat that you paid for DOH-SIN has not been cancelled. DO you mean that you have cancelled the whole booking as you mentioned in your first post?
