How are the rooms?

Hotel is a converted StayBridge Suites. If youve stayed at a StayBridge before, you will notice some minor elements in the room that they've kept. Nothing bad. Rooms are new but basic in design. No wall design or wallpaper. All eggshell white walls. Room had a decent view of the bridge and the port.

How was your complimentary welcome amenity?

Selected Diamond Breakfast. Resaturant(Peakcock Room) is quite good.

First in room amenity was given to me at check-in because I arrived early. Two cans of beer and some water.

Later on, they surprised me with a slice of cheesecake with a local cocktail and sparkling water. A wonderful treat!

What was good and what was bad?
Bad:
- Nothing

Good:
- Hotel contacted me prior to arrival via text and asked questions to ensure arrival was seamless.
They also scheduled my chef tasting ahead of time. Hotel is walking distance to Burbon Street, but far enoughaway from the fanfare to enjoy peace & quiet.

- Provided early check in at 10:30 without question, which is an Inner Circle benefit.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Yes, I would return. Not a fan of New Orleans, but the hotel is the best in IHG's portfolio in the area. I stayed at the worn down InterContinental down the road prior to my stay here and the Kimpton has them beat.
