I was ditching my status for the reasons OP mentioned here, when I realized just seconds before booking an Iberia J award to MEX, that IB laughingly still required masks onboard, as of January 2023 (!!!).

That being a no-no for me made me rethink my TK requalification and gave them another shot. So for the next 2 years I'm set.

The insane fares spike out of NAP in both Y and J make them an outdate proposition for any serious traveling, coupled with the awful rudeness of the staff anywhere at IST. Issues definitely aggravated after COVID.
