It should reappear. I had the same experience a few weeks ago and thought for a few days that I had received a free item without actually using up the Amex credit, but it’s just some weirdness in Saks or Amex systems.
I also had this happen during the past week (along with my two United TB purchases). So I don't know if it is an ongoing problem or some kind of temporary glitch. Also, when the charges (temporarily) disappeared from the website, I immediately checked the app and they were still posted in the activity section there. Strange indeed, but apparently harmless.
