Polaris is for international flights, and in nearly all (I said nearly) cases, entrants will have passports. I appreciate efforts to control access. If a person isn't equipped to show their boarding pass and passport to enter an international business class lounge, what exactly were they planning to do to get through immigrations at their destination?
