AS vs. Delta

Hello All!

I have been an extremely loyal AS MVP75 for about 8 years and last year due to some required family and business travel to the panhandle I finally decided to dip my toe in the Delta waters. I signed up for the status match and unfortunately I misread the terms so while I did fly the required mileage to maintain top status with them, missed their deadline by a week or so which is on me of course. Because of that though and flying Delta the second half of 2022 I also didnt hit MVP75 so now I am debating between giving it a full GO with Delta or going all-in on maintaining MVP75 with AS by way of their fast-track spring promo they have going on. My wife who almost always flys with me these days really prefers the Delta planes and aside from being charged $350 for additional checked bags (Something I have never had with AS), I have to say all the staff on Delta has been extremely positive and cheerful, if you look at my old posts pre-pandemic that was always the major thing for me was the incredible company culture with AS which post-pandemic seems to have completely fallen off, in SEA at least. I understand it because they probably got hammered for a couple of years and its natural to build up stresses but for 6 plus years pre-pandemic I had literally 100% positive experiences with every aspect of AS team members and since the pandemic I have been shocked at the consistency with rudeness and dismissive support, however again it's kindof understandable and its also for me at least isolated to the SEA airport which I have now vowed to avoid if it's at all possible because everywhere else still seems great.

Long-story short though what I am actually asking is if anyone has extensive experience flying both airlines, and can offer some guidance on if it's worth it to try to move to Delta, or if you'd recommend sticking with AS.

For a little extra context I fly to Florida about half a dozen times a year with the ultimate destinations typically being either Jacksonville, or Panama City (So on AS flying in to Orlando everytime then typically driving 2 and a half hours or so), and I am typically coming from either Anchorage, Reno, SFO, or Sacramento Also, have several trips hopefully each year back and forth between NoCal/Reno and Anchorage.

Obviously for any flights involving the state of Alaska AS is better and for trips going to Florida Delta is better lol so it's a pretty interesting decision and I am thankful for any informed opinions on it as I have really only flown AS and formerly Virgin for the last 15 years prior to flying Delta half a dozen times in 2022 thanks all for your potential help on this!
