I haven't been to the resort since its opening in the fall. I know the area well, though, as I visited multiple times during the construction last year as I was debating on buying a residence there. plenty of restaurants in Punta Mita Complex (FS and St Regis) which are great and on the water. we once tried a local restaurant in Punta de Mita village (Tuna Blanca). Food was reasonable, not great. But please be sure to ask about the local delicacies in advance. my wife had a tough time as she was served a shrimp plate that had multiple types of worms and winged ants at the bottom of the dish. tough to see when sitting outside at night so she found out the hard way
nothing against this type of cuisine -- but it wasn't mentioned in the discussion of the dish ...
distance from the resort is minimal -- 10 minutes by car from the front of the Susurros complex to Punta Mita gate or an additional few minutes to the Punta de Mita village waterfront.
